Sasquatch

Since we're all "staying home", it seems like a good time for a blog.

At the moment I’m laid up with a broken leg, and of course there’s that Coronavirus (I can’t even drink beer, now that I’m gluten free). I would drink a Margarita, but the liquor stores are closed. I’m not sure where this is going to go or how inappropriate it might get, but I’ve been in my head for about a week and a half. So, let’s see how it goes, shall we?

Did you ever see the click bait of “Photos of insane asylum patients at the turn of the century?” I believe I’m starting to resemble them. I have the day room (family room) with all my craft supplies, TV, computer and lots of windows, so I can look outside. My sense of fashion always questionable has become, well, let’s put it this way. My fashion ensemble today is Halloween leggings with skulls on them and a navy-blue tie-dye shirt. Not a color match anywhere. My hair is growing like crazy, all my hair. I’m a little embarrassed to go to the Orthopedist because, DAMN these legs. No Bueno.

I carry 'round my “Not a Day Over Fabulous” mug filled with coffee or Kombucha, while doing a balancing act, ambling through the house on my knee walker. As I motor past my hubs, he peeks up from his work, and still looks at me like he did 27 years ago... before I became the crazy Sasquatch with a bum leg.

I guess my point to all of this is that things seem overwhelming and frightening and there’s untold anxiety over what will happen next. Remember, laughter, friendship and love will win every time. Try to find some today.
